Kesseböhmer Raises Funds for Hurricane Relief
Kesseböhmer’s North American offices are headquartered in Wilmington, NC, an area that was greatly impacted by recent natural disasters. Kesseböhmer’s North American offices are headquartered in Wilmington, NC, an area that was greatly impacted by recent natural disasters. Though our corporate office in Downtown Wilmington and warehouse in Leland were both fortunate to have suffered only minor damages, the community we call home withstood a direct hit from Hurricane Florence and the surrounding areas were impacted by Hurricane Michael. As communities impacted continue to assess damages, Kesseböhmer is committed to giving back to affected areas with our corporate match program benefitting The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.
We have been headquartered in Wilmington for over a decade and all North American orders are satisfied through our warehouse in Leland. We maintain a full-time staff of North Carolinians and like many of our neighbors, our employees were forced to leave their homes to seek shelter during Hurricane Florence. We returned home to our Port City forever changed because of this devastating storm and subsequent natural disasters.
We are committed to helping our community rebuild in the wake of the storms. We are matching up to $10,000 in donations to benefit the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. The Food Bank CENC serves 34 counties and 97 cents of each dollar donated is allocated for programs and services. This donation matching program is an opportunity for us to directly impact people where we work and live. The hardest hit areas of North Carolina following Hurricanes Florence and Michael, only around 10% of individuals have flood insurance, according to the Washington Post. Donating to the food bank frees up precious resources needed to rebuild.
Kesseböhmer products are used to organize your pantry, and now we invite you to help our neighbors in need fill theirs. Help us reach our goal of $10,000 by November 30th.
